The 1-Hour First Aid and CPR course is an NYC Department of Buildings-approved Site Safety Training (SST) course that introduces essential life-saving techniques. Tailored for construction workers and supervisors, this training covers basic first aid procedures, CPR awareness, and emergency response best practices relevant to job sites.
While this course does not replace a full CPR certification, it ensures that workers are informed and prepared to act quickly in the event of an accident or medical emergency. The training supports the development of a safety-first mindset and helps reduce response time during critical moments.
Topics Covered Include:
- Assessing emergency situations quickly and safely
- Performing basic first aid for common workplace injuries
- Understanding the purpose and basics of CPR
- Identifying when and how to call for emergency services
- Using available first aid tools and equipment
- Legal and ethical responsibilities on the job site
The course is fully online and self-paced, making it easy to complete without interrupting your work schedule. Upon completion, students will earn a certificate that contributes toward their SST card training hours.
