The 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User & Refresher course is designed to comply with Local Law 52 and NYC Department of Buildings regulations, ensuring that all workers using supported scaffolds over 10 feet in height are trained in the safe operation and use of scaffold systems.
This course is required for new users and must be renewed every 4 years by those already certified. Students will explore common hazards, scaffold components, fall protection, and the responsibilities of scaffold users in both construction and maintenance environments.
Topics Covered Include:
- Types and components of supported scaffolds
- Roles and responsibilities of scaffold users
- Common scaffold-related hazards and how to prevent them
- Proper fall protection techniques and PPE use
- Accessing, assembling, and working safely on scaffolds
- NYC regulations, violations, and compliance standards
- Emergency response and accident prevention
Please note: Upon successful completion, participants will receive a scaffold user certificate. While the online course counts toward your Supervisor SST Card, it does not issue a Scaffold User Card. To receive the official card, the training must be completed in person. Check our schedule or contact us to arrange an in-person session.
